Patricia Mercier is a writer, visionary artist, crystal healer and shamanic healer, living in Spain. She has travelled widely in Central America. In 1995, she encountered her first crystal skull during a ceremony at Uxmal, Mexico, and since then she has been initiated by Mayan priests and elders to become a teacher of the Mayan mysteries.
This complements her training as a crystal healer and yoga teacher. At the invitation of the Mayan elder Hunbatz Men of the Itza Maya Tradition, she co-founded a Maya Mysteries School with her husband. The school is active in both Spain and the UK, and three of her previous five books, The Maya Shamans – Travellers in Time, The Maya End Times and The Chakra Bible, are used as teaching tools.

Humans are egotistical enough to think that having large brains, opposable thumbs and using tools can set us apart from animals and extinction... What about using the giant tool between our ears a little less and using the one inside our chest a little more? There are more electrical signals sent from the heart to the brain than from the brain to the heart: but who is listening to their heart?
